Jennifer Gunn has been playing piccolo with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra since June of 2005. She is also currently on the faculty of Roosevelt’s Chicago College of Performing Arts. Before coming to Chicago, Jennifer was the assistant principal flute of the Louisville Orchestra (KY) from 2004-2005 and principal flute for the Fort Wayne
Philharmonic (IN) from 2001-2004. She has also performed with the Pittsburgh and Cincinnati Symphony Orchestras. Her many accolades include winning first prize in the 2004 National Flute Association’s Piccolo Artist Competition and making her solo debut with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in May of 2008. Born in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, she earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh where she studied with Robert Langevin and Rhian Kenny.
