Dear Flutists,
It is difficult to grasp how quickly we have moved through this concert season. 2009-2010 was an active year, filled with a very successful Flute Festival, some extraordinary concerts, and numerous informative Teacher Workshops. We commissioned a flute quartet by Lita Grier that will be a successful composition for flute ensembles for many years to come. Our reputation as a flute club has grown to the level that artists contact us on a regular basis, hoping to have an opportunity to perform. The buzz around the coffee table after each recital or workshop gives us a chance to catch up on auditions, competitions, new teaching positions, and the discovery of new flutes, head joints, or available student instruments for sale.
Next season will offer equally diverse programming as you will see appearing on this website. Don't miss those concerts!
